Homespun Americana Meets Old Japan

The doctor is in, and he’s a prescription for fun!  This playful rug design is based on the traditional Daruma figure, a good luck talisman familiar to all Japanese.

Dr. Daruma is also a hooked cotton rug available in standard sizes and colorways.  He’s handmade from strips of cotton, using the same technique early American settlers used with household fabric scraps.

Dye variation creates random color patterns and adds patina.  Imported.  All cotton.  Handmade to order.
